1992 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER HDJ81 AUTOMATIC
This 1992 Toyota Land Cruiser is a Japanese-market HDJ81 model powered by a turbodiesel 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, a factory installed winch, an aluminum Jaos roof rack, and a locking center differential.
The truck is finished in Medium Red Pearl (color 3H4) over a brown and tan cloth interior, and features include a sunroof, running boards, 16″ alloy wheels, a split-folding rear bench, an altimeter and compass, climate controlled air conditioning, and a factory cassette stereo. The truck was purchased by the selling dealer at auction in Japan and was imported to the United States in May of 2021. Service included changing the oil as well as replacing the air filter, new tires, and a complete front knuckle rebuild with Japanese bearings and seals. Now showing 190,891 miles (307,210 kilometers), this JDM FJ80 is offered in Miami with copies of its export certificate, Japanese documents, importation paperwork, and a clean Florida title.
The truck was delivered new in Medium Red Pearl (color 3H4) and features body-matching fender flares, gray-finished bumpers, running boards, and a sunroof.
OEM Toyota wheels were mounted with Yokohoma Geolandar A/T 265/70R16 tires in preparation for sale. The selling dealer states that additional work at that time included new windshield wipers, an alignment, and a complete front knuckle rebuild with Japanese bearings and seals.
The right-hand-drive interior features bolstered front bucket seats and a split-folding rear bench trimmed in brown and tan cloth. The center console has a factory installed refrigeration and icemaker! A compass and an altimeter are integrated into the area above the rearview mirror, and other amenities include heated and manually adjustable front seats with powered lumbar control, automatic climate control with air conditioning, a digital clock, and a Toyota-branded stereo with a cassette player. Additional modifications include a Jaos aluminum roof rack.
A three-spoke non-airbag steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 180-km/h speedometer, a Turbo-branded 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges.
The turbodiesel 4.2-liter 1HD-T inline-six featured an 18.6:1 compression ratio and an output of 164 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to all four wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The truck features locking center differentials and a factory winch.
The export certificate, translated copy, other Japanese documents, and importation paperwork are pictured in the gallery.
